Babies, babies, babies

Ok, well only two babies. This weekend Alison and Russ came down to celebrate and prepare for the Soppe twin boys that we are all greatly anticipating to come this summer at a baby shower that we threw for them. We played shower games, ate cake, visited with relatives and friends and did all the other fun things that happen at your typical shower. Alison left well equipped with many of the essential things that she will need when the little boogers arrive. Everyone left with a goodie bag of spring like treats and Doublemint gum :) It was fun to see Alison and Russ even though it was only for a quick day. It won't be long before we're all headed up to Chicago to see the boys when they are born! Get ready for double trouble in the Soppe household!

Absolute Mayhem!

Is that snow on the ground?! Well, no, not quite but it is the remnants of the mad crazy hail storm that we had today. We Trout Lodgians are not quite sure what to think of this crazy weather that we've had over the last week and a half but one thing is for sure....it is unpredictable. Some people are calling it the end of the world, others attribute it to global warming. All I can say is that its out of control! Hopefully this weather of ours starts to cooperate and brings some beautiful spring weather, but until then be ready for anything! Oh....and ps....please do not play IN the ice machine!

And the Rains Keep Coming

So as many of you experienced, this last week brought a plethora....that's right, a plethora of rain. Here's a quick peak of just the amount of precipitation I'm talking about. It was CRAZY!
